Christmas Day!!

Christmas was very exciting in our house this year, especially for Michaela! Here's a picture of our tree with all the presents under it. Mommy and Daddy's presents are behind the tree so you can't even see them! Michaela's was by far the biggest pile (to the right of the picture) but the boys weren't that far behind her. It took about 3 or 4 attempts to get through all of Michaela's presents on Christmas Day. It took Boxing Day to open the boys' presents!
Michaela decorated our tree this year. Mommy put on the lights and the angel, but she did the rest. We did try to guide her a bit, but it didn't really work, hence the collection of red baubles on the right, silver on the left, etc. But we think it looks really good!
Here's Michaela with the presents from Santa - she's holding on to hers and the boys are the red bag and two red stockings.
Quite possibly Michaela's favourite present was a camera from Santa. We think she took over 200 photos on Christmas Day alone! Eventually we might get some of her photography on the blog.
And Christmas dinner at Auntie Nan's house - check out the amount of food!!!
Isaiah on Christmas Day.
Alex on Christmas Day.
And a slight lie in the title, because the following photos aren't from Christmas Day, but I can't remember which day they were from. Here's Mommy playing with Isaiah (l) and Alex (r) at Granny's house. They were both giggling away having just woken from a nap.
And I forgot to say that Auntie Ivanna was home for Christmas. Here she is with Michaela and Alex at Granny's house.

And with Isaiah at our house.

Christmas has been really fun for us as a family this year and I can only think next year will be even better (or complete bedlam, or both!).

Before Christmas

Since I was on the ball with the last blog, there's not actually much to say for the update pre-Christmas. But here's lots of photos anyway. Isaiah and Alex in their pram. Right before the photo, they were both giggling like mad, but of course stopped when the camera came out!
Alex with a huge grin!
Daddy and Isaiah watching tv. Both boys love to watch tv.
Bigton Hall Christmas party was on the Saturday before Christmas. Lucky Michaela got to go up to Santa three times to get presents for her and the boys.
Unwrapping her present at the Hall. The party was pretty good, with pass the parcel (which Michaela makes us pretend to play now) and sandwiches, sausage rolls, ice cream & jelly - yum! Here's Megan holding Isaiah.
And Eve massaging Michaela's belly with the massager Mommy got from her work Christmas party. Michaela loves to get massages, but will only massage you back for about 2 seconds!
And then the rest of the week was really just getting ready for Christmas - delivering the last of the presents, sorting out food, etc. So on to Christmas then......

Lots of pics of the kids!

This blog is really just a bunch of photos of the kids all looking cute! Michaela's really good to the boys and loves giving cuddles - here she is with Alex under his activity gym.
Daddy seems to have mastered the art of giving both boys their goodnight bottles at once! Isaiah's on the left.
3 months old today pictures! Here's two of Isaiah.
And two of Alex.

Here's Michaela being a good big sister, helping give Isaiah his bottle while Mommy was out with Granny for the day.
On Sunday it was open day for Oscar Charlie (the Coastguard helicopter). Michaela loves helicopters, so we went for a visit. Here she is sitting in the helicopter.
And later on the same day, Michaela's little cousin Lottie came to stay with her parents. Here they are having a bath together.

Michaela has met Santa twice this week - once at Bookstart at the library and once at the Bigton Toddlers Christmas party. At the Toddlers party, she was commenting if someone forgot to say thank you to Santa! Saturday is the Bigton Hall Christmas party, so she'll get to meet Santa again. She's getting so excited about Christmas - here's hoping Santa is good to her and the boys!

Winter fun!

We had our first snow this winter and Daddy and Michaela were very excited to get out with the sledge. As you can see, it wasn't much snow, but it was enough for Michaela!

And the other excitement for November was Michael and Elaine's wedding on the 29th. We had a good time as a family at it - the boys slept through most of the ceremony and meal, and Michaela was very well behaved (apart from crying during the ceremony, so Daddy and her missed it all). We let her stay up late for a few dances as well.

Michaela with her second cousin Eli.

Clockwise from top left - Megan, Eve, Eli, Michaela, Ronan and Zac. Daddy tried to get a photo with Iris in it as well, to have all the kids, but it didn't quite work out.

Auntie Irene with Alex. Check out his cute smile!

Think that's all of November's news now. Will try to update again with December, but we don't really have any photos because Mommy's been ill and now Daddy's ill. Luckily the kids seem to have escaped the bug so far.

Start of November catch up

Not much went on for most of November, just normal family life. We're still planning things to do on most days so Michaela has some excitement and it gets Mom out of the house too. But one day Michaela's pals Ruby and Ella came over to play. You can see from the picture how much fun they have together.
Alex at 2 months old.
Isaiah at 2 months old. We just love the expressions he gets!
Both boys had their first lot of injections and they were amazing really. They were both sleeping before the injections, woke up enough to cry and object to having the injections done, and fell asleep again before Mommy could even get their jackets back on them and put them in their car seat! Next injections are tomorrow, so here's hoping they'll react much the same.

Typical day at the Christie household - Mommy holding Isaiah, with Michaela holding Alex!
The boys have started getting bottles now. Usually we just give them one at night before bed. But a few weeks ago, Mommy went out and wasn't home in time for their next feed, so here's Auntie Jean giving Alex his bottle.
Mommy's best pal from school, Robyn, came up to visit. And her timing couldn't have been better - she stayed for a week while Granny was visiting Auntie Ivanna in America for two weeks. Unfortunately, we weren't great at taking photos, but here's one the night before she left.
We've been attempting to get a good photo of all three kids, but I think it's still eluding us somewhat. Anyway, here's one of our better attempts, although Isaiah is sleeping.
Don't they look so much older here?
